Digital Dermatoscopy

This is currently the most advanced method of skin examination, allowing for the detection of dangerous neoplasms at stages when they are not yet visible to the human eye. At VIP Kliinik, we have elevated this process to the level of expert diagnostics, utilizing world-class advanced equipment.

What is Digital Dermatoscopy?

Unlike a classical examination with a magnifying glass, digital dermatoscopy is a hardware-software complex. Using a special high-resolution video camera, the doctor obtains images of neoplasms magnified up to 140 times. This allows for a detailed study of the mole’s microstructure: its edges, pigment distribution, and the condition of blood vessels.

The Gold Standard

In our clinic, diagnostics are performed using a robotic system, considered the “Mercedes” of the dermatology world. Its key feature is Total Body Mapping.

  • Digital Skin Passport: The system takes a series of full-body images, recording the location of every single spot, even the smallest ones.

  • Artificial Intelligence: The built-in analyzer compares your indicators with a database of millions of clinical cases. It helps the doctor assign a risk score on the malignancy scale with over 90% accuracy.

  • Time-based Comparison: During a follow-up visit, the program automatically compares old and new images. If a new mole appears on the body or an old one changes by fractions of a millimeter, the system highlights it with a red marker.

Who needs this procedure?

We recommend undergoing digital dermatoscopy once a year for everyone who cares about their health, but it is especially indicated if:

  • You have more than 20-30 moles on your body.

  • You have fair skin prone to sunburn, or red hair.

  • You have noticed that a mole has started to grow, change color, or shape.

  • Your close relatives have had cases of melanoma or other types of skin cancer.

  • You frequently visit hot countries or use tanning beds.

How is the procedure performed?

The process is completely painless and takes 20 to 40 minutes. You position yourself in front of the camera, the system takes images from specific angles, after which the dermato-oncologist thoroughly analyzes suspicious objects. Upon completion, you receive a detailed report and recommendations.

Important: Early diagnosis of melanoma offers a 100% chance of full recovery. Digital dermatoscopy transforms the fear of the unknown into a clear action plan and confidence.
